When is an invoice due?
Last updated: May 19, 2026
When an invoice is due depends on the billing Plan. When you enroll clients under a Plan, the Plan determines how much and when the client is billed.
By default, invoices are due the day after it's finalized, but you can optionally extend the due date buffer, which delays the due date and Auto-Pay by a set number of days.
This buffer is intended to give admins and families time to review invoices, confirm attendance, and catch issues before payment.
Plan based due dates
Pay-as-you-go, upfront, and pre-pay Plans
These invoices are due as soon as they are generated, typically upon attendance or enrollment.
Post-pay Plans (weekly, bi-weekly, monthly)
These invoices are generated on a billing cycle and are due at the end of the cycle.
By default, invoices include a 1-day due date buffer, which you can adjust. We recommend setting the buffer to 1–5 days to allow time for invoice review while keeping payments on schedule.
How to adjust the invoice due date buffer
Go to Settings → General in the left-hand navigation.
Open the Billing tab.
Update Invoice due date buffer (days).
Click Save settings.
