ACH payments take longer because they go through a two-step settlement process: first the payment settles to Finix (the payment processor), then from Finix to your bank account, with the deposit typically occurring 1 day after settlement completes. These transactions have longer settlement and return windows, which give banks time to verify funds and reduce the risk of fraud or reversals.
